From Michael D. Clark’s article on the Journal-News website:
The first all-girl team in the history of Butler Tech’s Auto Technology program will soon be representing the career school at a state competition.
In recent weeks, the three students have been diving deep into a 2012 Toyota Prius engine, dismantling and re-assembling the hybrid gasoline and electric motor.
They are focusing on mastering full understanding of the high-tech engine in preparation for the Skills USA Ohio Championships for teams of career school students in Columbus on April 26-27.
“I like working with the tools and getting my hands dirty,” said Butler Tech junior Madison Pickron. “I’m a hands-on learner and I love this program.”
