Valvoline Announces Scholarship For Automotive Students

Valvoline will award five $1,000 scholarships along with a $10,000 grand prize scholarship.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (April 21, 2008) – In an initiative to demonstrate its commitment to young adults who share a passion for cars and vehicle care, Valvoline has announced a scholarship program to aid students in pursuit
of an automotive technical career.

Known as the Valvoline Automotive Technical Scholarship, the program will award five $1,000 scholarships along with a $10,000 grand prize scholarship.

The scholarship program is being offered to youth between the ages of 16 and 25 who are planning to attend an accredited technical institution or vocation technical institution. 

Students can register for the scholarship on www.valvoline.com/pages/prizezone.

Scholarship entries will be ccepted beginning on May 7, 2008, with a deadline for entry of Dec. 1, 2008.
Drawings will be conducted monthly from July 15, 2008, through Nov. 15, 2008. The $10,000 grand prize scholarship winner will be selected on or bout Dec. 15, 2008.

The scholarship prizes are not related to financial need and will be rovided directly to the qualified institution as approved by Valvoline or use by the winners.

Hello I am a high school senior that will graduate in May along with being a dual-enrollment student. I will receive my auto certificate from Bevil Junior College in May as well. I will be attending NASCAR Technical Institute in August. This will be 1100 miles from my home town. I really could use some help with the expenses. Could you please help me or give me information for some scholarships. Thank you for your time.

I will be attending UTI in Houston, TX for Diesel Technician and Automotive Technician starting July 11, 2011. I am currently a senior in high school and I need all the help I can get.

I am a student for Fort Hayes in Collision repair. I have been accepted to UTI in Automotive technician. I need all the help I can get.
