I-CAR focuses on helping the collision repair inter-industry achieve a high level of technical training.
I-CAR, the Inter-Industry Conference on Auto Collision
Repair, has announced it has surpassed teaching its three
millionth student.
I-CAR was founded in 1979 and is a not-for-profit
organization focused on helping the collision repair inter-industry achieve a
high level of technical training.
The organization celebrated its achievement
by awarding the three millionth I-CAR student, Kenneth Kloncz of Golden State
Collision Center-Yuba City, with admission to three future I-CAR classes, as
well as awarding the Golden State Collision Center-Yuba City with an additional
three complimentary I-CAR classes.
Golden State Collision Center -Yuba City has been an I-CAR Gold Class
Professionals business since June 2010.
I-CAR, with the dedication of its local volunteers and
instructors, has taught over 60,000 unique individuals in the past year through
instructor-led (live) training in proper collision repair techniques and
up-to-date information on vehicle technology. In 2010, I-CAR hosted over 10,000
instructor-led (live) classes and qualification tests nationally.
Internationally,
I-CAR has licensed operations in Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.
“I-CAR training
is very valuable to me as a Refinish Technician and I was very excited to learn
that I’ve contributed to this milestone for I-CAR. Vehicle technology is continually
changing and I-CAR training offers technicians like myself a chance to stay
current and understand better how to complete repairs,” said Kloncz.
“I-CAR training
continues to add to the professionalism of the collision industry. It’s
inspiring to see the positive developments that I-CAR has made over the last
three decades,” said Doug Middleton, one of I-CAR’s original Founders.
“Reaching the three millionth student is not only a testament to the relevance
of I-CAR training, but a testament to the passion of I-CAR’s dedicated
instructors and volunteers who truly make I-CAR training possible.”
The I-CAR Professional Development
Program is structured to advance the knowledge and skills of an
individual and recognize their commitment to role-relevant training through the
I-CAR Platinum Individual designation and recognize businesses for
their breadth of training with the industry-recognized I-CAR Gold Class
Professionals designation.
