This 1938 Alfa Romeo 8C 2900B Touring Berlinetta sporting a lustrous PPG finish took three top awards: “Best of Show,” “Best of Class” and “Most Elegant” at the 58th Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance® in Monterey, California this August. The Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance is the world’s premier celebration of the automobile. The Alfa Romeo, owned Jon and Mary Shirley of Medina, WA, was meticulously restored by Dennison International Motorsports, Puyallup, WA, and painted by Byers Custom & Restoration, Auburn, WA. The 8C 2900B was Alfa Romeo’s most prestigious grand touring car of the 1930s. Only 33 examples were ever completed for road use.
