Team Falken driver Jake Rozelle took the 2016 GT Vintage class championship during the Ultimate Street Car Association’s competition in Fontana, California. Driving a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro with Falken RT615K tires, Rozelle was also able to beat out more than 200 competitors to win the overall vintage class championship for the season.

“To take home the GTV national championship this season has been surreal,” said Rozelle. “Thanks to Falken Tires we were in the right position with the right equipment to come out on top.”

Falken driver Mike Maier finished second overall for the season in his 1966 Ford Mustang, with Chad Ryker and Efrain Diaz taking fourth and fifth place in the class for Team Falken.

“We couldn’t be happier for Jake and the team,” said Jonathon Bradford, Motorsports & Events Manager for Falken. “We knew our drivers and tires had what it takes to win the top spots on the podium, and they certainly didn’t disappoint this season.”

The Optima Search for the Ultimate Street Car series is a competition open to street legal performance vehicles, which allows drivers of all skill-levels to compete for a chance to race at an invitational during the 2016 SEMA Show in Las Vegas. During each race weekend, the points based events are split into four types of competitions including autocross, speed stop, design and engineering and road course. Falken Tires serves as the official road course sponsor for the series.
