New Trier High School in Winnetka, IL, was one of only five schools selected as finalists in the Quaker State “Best In Class Challenge.”
From an article on the Daily North Shore website:
After a test-drive of Quaker State’s inaugural Best in Class Challenge last year, New Trier High School is revving up for another chance to take home first in the competition this fall.
Of 55 high schools that entered the contest nationwide, New Trier was one of only five schools selected as finalists. The Trevians were named finalists last year as well, but didn’t earn the grand prize.
Throughout the six-week challenge, finalists are charged with tuning, restoring and customizing a pre-owned car into a creative representation of their school. The competition will consist of online voting, weekly automotive challenges, hands-on education and check-ins with celebrity judges, including Tommy Pike, owner of Tommy Pike Customs, and Sung Kang, actor, producer and car enthusiast.
