A generous gift is significantly impacting students in the Huot Technical Center’s Auotmotive Program.

Earlier this fall, Huot Automotive Instructor Steve Clavett was talking with Jamie DeCato, Lakes Region Community College Assistant Professor and Lead Automotive Technology Instructor, about how he was struggling to give Huot students hands-on experiences in actual vehicles.

“They were phasing out some vehicles in their program,” Clavett said. “I told him we were looking for training aides and he came through for us.”

Thanks to DeCato, LRCC donated three of the vehicles being phased out for student use at the Huot Technicla Center in October.

“These are all GM factory vehicles and they all have less than 100 miles on them,” Clavett said. “They are all in like-new condition.”
