Waco High School received a grant for $220,870 from The Texas Workforce Commission.
From Sarah Macias’ article on the MyCenTX.com website:
Waco High School received a large chunk of money for it’s automotive technology lab Wednesday.
The idea is to upgrade the equipment and encourage student interest.
Some day, Waco High School Junior Lexie Field hopes to work on planes, but today, she settles for cars.
“I know I’m getting the right preparation for it, so it makes me feel proud that my school is able to do the things that’s helping me to get ready for my future,” said Lexie Field.
To keep her and her fellow students moving in the right direction, The Texas Workforce Commission awarded Waco High School a grant for $220,870. The school will use that money to buy better equipment.
