D & S Automotive in Mentor, OH, recruits students from Auburn Career Center to participate in its apprentice program.
From Kristi Garabrandt’s article on The News-Herald website:
Recent high school graduates Nicholas Holberg and Noah Mair spend their days expanding their education while maintaining entry-level positions within their chosen industry.
Holberg and Mair, students from Auburn Career Center in Concord Township, have earned full-time positions with D & S Automotive in Mentor after completing the D & S Automotive Apprentice Program.
The program started about four or five years ago, said D & S Vice President C.J. Paterniti.
“We really ramped up the program about three years ago to further a relationship with Auburn to get more kids into the shop to better prepare them for a career aside from what they are learning in the classroom.”
