Students from Joliet Central High School in Joliet, IL, recently passed Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) exams.

Nine Joliet Central High School students recently passed Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) exams, demonstrating real-world industry knowledge and proficiency. Passing an ASE exam is the first step in building a professional career in the service and automotive industry.
Sean Reisdorf, an auto teacher at Joliet Central, brought 12 students to the examination center. On the students’ first attempt, nine passed at least one exam, bringing home a collective 47 certifications total.
“The certifications these students received are the same as those received by paid professionals in automotive careers,” said Reisdorf. “These certificates are the first step of employability for the students and it is a huge leg up in their careers.”
