Instructor Daniel Thomas is using a 1940 Ford to motivate students in the Collision Repair Technology program at the Mason County Area Technology Center in Maysville, KY.
From Terry Prather ‘s article on The Ledger Independent website:
Daniel Thomas of Tollesboro is nearing the completion of his second year as an instructor in the Mason County Area Technology Center. In the fall of 2014, Thomas opened the doors of the auto body shop and began teaching the Collision Repair Technology program to area students.
“I heard about the job and applied,” said Thomas.
His experience included work in Flemingsburg at Chuck’s, an auto body repair shop owned by Chuck Carpenter. There he worked for 14 years, learning skills and gaining experience in the trade.
“It was just something I really enjoyed doing. I always, even as a kid, wanted to be around cars and trucks,” he said.
“I played with Hot Wheels while my older brother Brian played with toy soldiers. He ended up joining the Army, and I am here doing what I love — teaching and working with vehicles.”
