Winning entrant on the theme — “The Future of Automotive Repair & Diagnostics” — will receive $1,000, a MotoLOGIC subscription and their essay published in Tomorrow’s Tech
Shop tech students may not actually be able to predict the future, but MotoLOGIC Repair & Diagnostics, a Web-based resource for automotive technicians, invites students to share their visions in the Future of Automotive Repair & Diagnostics Essay Contest.
From now through Sept. 30, 2014, students registered at NATEF/ASE certified schools are eligible to submit an essay – of 500 words or less – for a chance to win one grand prize package including:
· Their winning essay submission published in Tomorrow’s Tech
· A check for $1,000
· One-year subscription to MotoLOGIC Repair & Diagnostics
· MotoSKILL ASE Test Prep Training Bundle
Also, the grand prize winner’s school will receive $5,000 for use on classroom technology and a five-year subscription to MotoLOGIC. Nine runner-up award-winning submissions will be selected, each receiving a $100 Visa Gift Card, a MotoSKILL ASE Test Prep Training Bundle and a one-year subscription to Tomorrow’s Technician.
In 500 words or less, contestants are encouraged to express how technology is changing industry diagnostics and repair today, then envision how technology will be used in automotive repair in the future.
“Today’s students are tomorrow’s innovators,” said Walter Scott, vice president of e‑Commerce and e‑Services for Advance Auto Parts. “We look forward to reading fresh perspectives on how technology can shape the automotive repair and diagnostics industry now and in the future.”
