Students Ralston High School’s auto tech class learn the skills needed for a career as an auto technician.
From Michael Batchelder’s article on the Ralston Recorder website:
Auto tech prepares students for a career with cars.
Nick Flick has always loved working on cars.
A senior at Ralston High School, Flick finds it relaxing to pop under the hood of a car and make some fixes, whether he’s working on his own or cars of friends and family members.
“It’s a rough kind of soothing,” Flick said. “It’s pretty much the only thing I know how to do. And when I’m done, I get to enjoy it.”
Flick has a future ahead of him repairing cars after graduation. As a generation retires from the auto industry, RHS automotive teacher Andy Berthold is encouraging his students to realize there can be a lucrative and in-demand career available for auto mechanics and technicians.
