Patrick Roersma, a student at Grand Rapids Community College, Grand Rapids, MI, is enrolled in the school’s auto mechanics program.
Roersma, who also works at Carlisle Auto Body, a shop that specializes in auto collision, restoration and customs, shows off some of his creativity on his 2001 Pontiac Sunfire SE.
Roersma said the car has been given a motor swap along with a full-custom body kit and interior modifications.
The Sunfire is powered with a 3.8L V6 supercharged engine (swapped out from a Pontiac Grand Prix) with a GETRAG 5-speed manual transmission.
Other custom improvements include a Flex Fiber Aero Body kit, a full-custom paint job done by Roersma, a fiberglass dash and painted interior. For wheels, Roersma has added 17" American Racing Motegi DP 12s.
Roersma is pictured with his car when he took the 1st Place: Late Model Tuner-Domestic class award at the 8th Annual ResLife Church Car Show in Grand Rapids.
