The Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) recently announced the winner of the Young Guns Fan Vote competition.
The SEMA Battle of the Builders Young Guns competition returns again this year to the Street Machine Nationals, with qualifying rounds at both the Du Quoin, Ill., (June 21-23) and St. Paul, Minn., (July 19-21) events.
SEMA kicks off the nationwide search for aspiring, up-and-coming young vehicle builders on March 16, 2019, as the SEMA Young Guns Regional Program takes place at TX2K19 at Houston Raceway Park, just outside of Houston, Texas.
Registration for the fifth annual SEMA Battle of the Builders competition is now open, with an expanded Young Guns regional program for builders age 27 and younger.
The 4-Wheel Jamboree Nationals series and SEMA will host a “Young Guns” qualifying round at three 4-Wheel Jamboree Nationals events, sending three participants to the 2018 SEMA Show to compete in Battle of the Builders.

This year’s competition began with nearly 300 applications from builders representing an elite group of individuals who have demonstrated extreme talent, creativity and craftsmanship in modifying cars, trucks and SUVs.
Open only to vehicles displayed at the SEMA Show, the competition features the best builders in the country who come to SEMA to win the coveted title of the ultimate builder.
