Icahn Automotive Partners With Lincoln Technical Institute New Jersey Campuses For ‘Race to 2026’ Program
Icahn Automotive Group LLC has partnered with Lincoln Technical Institute’s Mahwah and Union, New Jersey, campuses to present student scholarships and five classroom remodels as part of its national “Race to 2026” technicians recruitment initiative.
Icahn Automotive unveiled renovated classrooms and hallways at Lincoln Technical Institute’s (Lincoln Tech) Philadelphia campus as part of its expansion of the national “Race to 2026” initiative.
Kayla Kelley, a senior in Washington County Technical High School’s auto technology program, took home $1,700 worth of tools and a new toolbox, as well as prizes for her school, as the winner of a national video contest created Matco Tools and Lincoln Tech.
High schools in the Mahwah, NJ, area that no longer offer automotive programs are partnering with Lincoln Tech.
Lincoln Tech students who are accepted into STEP receive training designed specifically for careers with BMW.
Under the new agreement, Matco will supply complete industry-standard tool kits to all Lincoln Tech transportation-focused programs around the country.
Beginning in 2016, students may apply to enroll in additional courses to supplement Lincoln Tech’s Automotive Technology training program – courses that build their familiarity with Audi-specific servicing, maintenance and roadside assistance skills. Audi will provide the curriculum and equipment for the program – including 2016 A3 and S7 models on which students will train.
