Hot Rodders Of Tomorrow Crowns 2015 Engine Challenge National Champion
While the Performance Racing Industry (PRI) Trade Show did not officially start until Thursday, December 10, students from across the nation convened in Indianapolis on Tuesday to kick off the Hot Rodders of Tomorrow Engine Challenge Dual Championship. With the first four spots in the Engine Challenge Finals filled from SEMA competition, 17 additional teams came to compete for the final four spots at PRI. From Tuesday through Friday they competed in performance engine rebuilds, looking for sub 20 minute completion times.
Muscle Car And Corvette Nationals Visit Chicago
The 2015 Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals blew into Chicagoland on a snowy Nov. 20-22 weekend and blew everyone’s minds with attractions such as a display of 32 HEMI-powered E-body Mopar convertibles (‘Cudas and Challengers), a pair of ’69 Trans Am convertibles, one of the two or three Torino King Cobras made, Gas Rhona’s drag racing Mustang and Richard Petty’s 43/Jr drag racing “fishbowl” Barracuda.
Harley V-Rod Rockets Andrew Hines To NHRA World Championship
Harley-Davidson Screamin’ Eagle/Vance & Hines riders Ed Krawiec and Andrew Hines closed out the 2015 NHRA Mello Yello Countdown the Championship as winners and world champions. Krawiec rode to victory in the Pro Stock Motorcycle Auto Club NHRA Finals in Pomona, Calif., and Hines successfully defended his NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle title and secured his fifth career world championship in the class.
Ford/AAA National Student Competition Gets Motors Running

Team Penske And Hertz Announce Special Paint Scheme For Darlington Race
Team Penske and Hertz will debut a new livery on the No. 22 Ford Mustang driven by Joey Logano for the upcoming NASCAR Xfinity Series event at Darlington Raceway on Saturday, Sept. 5. As part of the overall throwback weekend at Darlington Raceway, the car’s new paint scheme will be an ode to the famed Hertz / Shelby GT350H “Rent-A-Racer” program from the 1960s and will feature a black scheme with gold racing stripes.
