Eastern Oklahoma County Technology Center Students Are Top Hot Rod Builders

Team Moroso, from Eastern Oklahoma County Technology Center in Choctaw, OK, defeated 22 other schools from across the nation to win theHot Rodders of Tomorrow National Championship recently at the PRI Trade Show in Indianapolis.School instructor Jim LaFevers tutored a six-student group that broke the event’s national record in breaking down and then re-assembling a V8 engine in 18 minutes, 43 seconds.

Sinclair Community College Wins ‘School of the Year’ Honors

Sinclair Community College in Dayton, Ohio, was named the 2013 Technical School of the Year by Tomorrow’s Tech magazine and WIX Filters during a surprise ceremony today for 150 students and instructors of the college’s Automotive Technology program. Sinclair Community College is the sixth recipient of the annual program to find and name the best technician training school in the country.

Hot Rodders Of Tomorrow Crowns 2015 Engine Challenge National Champion

While the Performance Racing Industry (PRI) Trade Show did not officially start until Thursday, December 10, students from across the nation convened in Indianapolis on Tuesday to kick off the Hot Rodders of Tomorrow Engine Challenge Dual Championship. With the first four spots in the Engine Challenge Finals filled from SEMA competition, 17 additional teams came to compete for the final four spots at PRI. From Tuesday through Friday they competed in performance engine rebuilds, looking for sub 20 minute completion times.
