From Jessica Peres’ article on the abc30.com website:
Students in Fresno City College’s Automotive Technology Program are enrolling in a brand new class next semester. The high-tech training they will receive is thanks to a new partnership with Mopar FCA — a manufacturer that provides a career automotive program with expertise in working on Fiat Chrysler vehicles.
“I think it’s going to be a really good thing. MOPAR is pretty generous with their training program,” said Jeramy Baca, FCC student.
Auto shop is not what it used to be. Students are using computers to help them fix cars.
Faculty member Marty Kamimoto said the students will now get the latest training on the latest vehicles.
“It’s not what it used to be you know, we have all the newer cars, the newer technology, they have over 26 onboard computers that talk on a high-speed network.”
