From Sadie Heath’s article on The Oklahoman website:

The Eastern Oklahoma County Technology Center Aeromotive engine build team advanced to the national competition after ranking fourth out of 45 teams at the Hot Rodders of Tomorrow Aeromotive qualifying event in Lenexa, Kansas.

The Hot Rodders of Tomorrow is a nonprofit with a mission to develop today’s youth for the aftermarket racing, performance and automotive industry.

High school teams from across the United States compete against a clock to tear down and rebuild a 350-cubic-inch Chevy engine. The teams with the quickest time and points proceed to the national championship in Las Vegas for a chance to compete for the title and scholarship funds. The organization has awarded more than $15.5 million in scholarships.
