From Don Maines’ article on the Chron website:

Jennifer Cho might like “girly stuff,” but she is fascinated by car engines.

“I like the science and technology,” said Cho, 21, a Memorial-area resident who works as a lube technician while studying to be an automobile mechanic.

When Cho graduates in August from Universal Technical Institute, she hopes to become a master technician at a Mercedes-Benz dealership, then someday work in a NASCAR or circuit racing pit.

Cho is about 5 feet tall and weights 120 pounds, but her instructor, George Hamilton, said Cho doesn’t shy away from doing heavy lifting.

“She is the only girl in the class, and guys being guys, they try to do things for her, but she doesn’t stand back,” he said. “I give her kudos for not letting them do anything for her.”
