Use Social Sweepster to Clean Your Social Media Pages

Today, 91 percent of employers search potential job candidates’ social media for red flags. Need help cleaning up your “wall” or “feed”? Try Social Sweepster. The app detects pictures of red solo cups, beer bottles and even “suspicious” objects. It also detects profanity from past posts.

Schedule Your Interview for a Tuesday at 10:30 a.m.

Think the day or time is irrelevant? Think again. According to Glassdoor, the very best time to interview is 10:30 a.m. on a Tuesday. This is the sweet spot because it’s not a bookend day (Monday or Friday) when employees are either gearing up for the week or winding down and it’s not the first or last time slot of a workday. The time also is not immediately before or after noon, when your interviewer may be too hungry or in too much of a food coma to concentrate.

Ask This Bold Question

Before the end of your interview, gear up and ask “Have I said anything in this interview or given you any other reason to doubt that I am a good fit for the role?” Sound gutsy and bold? That’s kind of the point. If delivered honestly, it can show to the employer that you have true desire and confidence and it gives you one last chance to clarify something.
