From the Green-Bay Press-Gazette:

Jaime Hernandez was in middle school when he got interested in cars.

Erik Moreno remembers learning the basics of vehicle maintenance from his dad, Heriberto, as a boy.

But it wasn’t until Green Bay East High School’s vehicle service classes got a needed tune-up from the school district and the area’s automotive industry that the two East High seniors saw working on cars as anything more than a hobby.

City Stadium Automotive, as the program is now called, this year expanded from three maintenance bays to five. The one toolbox Hernandez remembers the entire class having to share last year has multiplied and been modernized with tools used in auto shops throughout the country. The number of students enrolled in the program’s six courses has grown to about 150.
