Tesla vehicles may be able to drive themselves, but that doesn’t mean they can fix themselves. Through its intensive training program, Tesla START, Tesla is looking to hire students to work as Tesla service technicians at Telsa Service Centers across the country.

Through the program, students will develop technical expertise and earn certifications through a blended approach of in-class theory, hands-on labs and self-paced learning, Tesla said. Additionally, Tesla START provides students across North America with the skills needed for a successful career with Tesla.

The electric car giant is currently partnering with colleges across the country to integrate Tesla START into automotive technician curriculums as a 12-week capstone to help students transition from college to full-time employment at Tesla. Currently, Rio Hondo College in Los Angeles, California, and Central Piedmont Community College in Charlotte, North Carolina, have partnered with Tesla START.

Students can apply for the Tesla START program at tesla.com/careers.

Instructors and schools interested in launching Tesla START in their region can submit their school’s information, here.
