Auto tech instructor Matthew Reiter is seeing more girls enrolling in the automotive technologies class at Washington High School in Massillon, OH.
From Kelli Young’s article on The Repository website:
Crystal Constable calls herself a “girly girl.” She likes to wear high heels, curl her hair and paint her fingernails.
Yet the Washington High School senior gets just as greasy as the rest of the guys in the high school’s automotive technologies class.
On Friday, she and Cody Chapman were under the hood of a rusted red 1985 Chevrolet replacing the truck’s engine gaskets. Instead of heels, she wore work boots and the automotive shop’s button-down uniform. Her curled blond hair was pulled into a bun and splatters of black shellac compound took the place of nail polish.
Constable is one of four girls in the senior automotive technologies class this school year.
