MIDLAND, MI Northwood University’s 50th Annual International Auto Show is set for the weekend of Sept. 27, 28 and 29, 2013.
The show, billed as North America’s largest student-run outdoor new car auto show, is held on the Michigan Campus of Northwood University in Midland. The theme for this year’s show is “Cruising Through the Golden Anniversary.”
The general chair for this year’s show is junior Adam LaFurgey from Grand Rapids, MI. He and the remainder of the 13-member executive board, as well as more than 600 additional students, will be involved in creating the show, which attracts an average of nearly 50,000 visitors each year.
It is held during the peak of the fall color season on Northwood’s heavily wooded campus. This year’s show will feature more than 500 new cars, trucks, semis, recreational, specialty and promotional vehicles plus an extensive aftermarket exhibit.
The Auto Show is free and open to the public. Show hours are Friday, Sept. 27, from noon to 6 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 28, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 29, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Auto Show will offer a variety of displays and exhibits on the Mall Walk in addition to food, vast information and entertainment.
