Students at Effingham College and Career Academy in Rincon, GA, are building a hot rod that will bear the school’s colors and logo and will be driven in area parades.

Students at Effingham College and Career Academy are building a hot rod that will bear the school’s colors and logo and will be driven in area parades.
The 1927 bucket T hot rod will be red and have gray flames and a truck bed, according to Keith Cornell, who started building the kit with students two years ago.
Cornell retired and handed the project to Tavis Lydic, the school’s new transportation instructor. Lydic said the vehicle will be finished this spring.
Building a kit car from scratch gives automotive students hands-on experience and keeps them excited, Lydic said.
