SEMA, 4-Wheel Jamboree Nationals Sending Three ‘Young Guns’ To Battle Of The Builders

The 4-Wheel Jamboree Nationals series and SEMA will host a "Young Guns" qualifying round at three 4-Wheel Jamboree Nationals events, sending three participants to the 2018 SEMA Show to compete in Battle of the Builders.

SEMA has expanded its “Young Guns” road show to more than 20 events across the country, giving more opportunity to qualify for the Young Guns grand prize trip to SEMA. This year, the 4-Wheel Jamboree Nationals series and SEMA will host a “Young Guns” qualifying round at three 4-Wheel Jamboree Nationals events, sending three participants to the 2018 SEMA Show to compete in Battle of the Builders.

The “Young Guns” program is part of the SEMA Battle of the Builders program, which was launched by SEMA in 2014 to recognize the top builders and vehicles on display at the SEMA Show. The Young Gun program, launched in 2016, offers special recognition for younger builders age 27 or younger within the Battle of the Builders program.

SEMA will award the three Young Gun winners from the 4-Wheel Jamboree Nationals events in Lima, Bloomsburg and Indianapolis a paid trip to the SEMA Show and a spot in the Battle of the Builders competition.

To be eligible to compete at the 4-Wheel Jamboree Nationals Young Guns events, you must be 27 or younger (by Nov 2, 2018), build your 4×4 primarily on your own and be a registered 4-Wheel Jamboree participant.

BorgWarner Announces Plan to Reduce Supply Chain Emissions

A partnership with Manufacture 2030 will support BorgWarner in reaching its Scope 3 emissions reduction goal.

BorgWarner announced it entered into a strategic partnership with Manufacture 2030, a decarbonization software provider, to effectively measure and reduce its supply chain carbon footprint and support its goal of reducing absolute Scope 3 greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions 25% by 2030.

Through the agreement, BorgWarner will leverage M2030's extensive expertise in CO2 reduction and unique software to encourage its direct material suppliers to increase their emissions reduction efforts. M2030 will work directly with BorgWarner's supply base to gather energy usage data related to the manufacturing of products such as electricity, natural gas and more. That data will then be fed into an interactive dashboard where emissions and energy reduction efforts can be tracked. The tool also provides best practice sharing opportunities for pursuing emissions reduction. By utilizing the tool, BorgWarner said it will promote collaboration, accountability and engagement across its supply base on emissions reduction.
