FINALISTS CHOSEN IN RESTORATION CHALLENGE GENERATION NEXT

Ohio Technical College, Dupli-Color Partner to Encourage Future of Auto Industry

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Three high schools have been named finalists in the Dupli-Color(r) Restoration Challenge Generation Next Promotion: Kansas City Community College High School Technical Education Program in Kansas City, Kan.; Paris Gibson High School in Great Falls, Mont.; and Monterey High School in Monterey, Calif.
      
The Dupli-Color Restoration Challenge Generation Next Promotion is for the next generation of Do-It-Yourselfers to show the world their restoration skills. 

Finalists received all the Dupli-Color Products they needed to complete their restorations as well as a $5,000 shopping spree from Dupli-Color’s participating retail partners:
• Advance Auto Parts; 
• O’Reilly Auto Parts; and
• Pep Boys.

The selected schools have taken on the challenge of restoring a 1965 Ford Mustang, a 1964 Ford Mustang Coupe and a 1979 Malibu Station wagon.  

The high school teams are documenting their progress on their restoration with weekly updates posted on the Dupli-Color Facebook page throughout the competition.  
      
The Facebook community can cast their vote in the Dupli-Color Restoration Challenge Generation Next until Dec. 11, 2011 by visiting www.facebook.com/Dupli-Color.  Every week during the voting, Dupli-Color will award one Facebook voter with a $50 gas card. 

Over the next eight weeks, the high school compiling the most fan votes will become the winner.
      
Ohio Technical College has partnered with Dupli-Color(r) Products Group to offer several scholarships as prizes in the Restoration Challenge Generation Next Promotion.

The first place school will receive $10,000 in scholarships for each member to attend Ohio Technical College, as well as a school party DJ’ed by Funk Master Flex.

The second place team will receive $7,500 in Ohio Technical College scholarships for every team member and third place will receive $5,000 in Ohio Technical College scholarships for every team member.
