Most techs only use 10-15 percent of what scan tools are capable of. In this training program Instructor Jim Wilson show you how to go deeper in your tool for more thorough and insightful diagnostics. With this video you will learn how how to get more from your scan tool.

This course covers specialized testing using the data stream and graphs from six input sensors: RPM, CTS, ITS, MAP, MAF and TPS. Jim shows you how to use the tool to figure total fuel trim and test hard start and no-start issues. He also covers misfire testing, the “Special Tests” function and time saving setups.

Jim will show you all of the capabilities of your scan tool so you can get the quick and proper diagnosis.

  • Using a bi-directional test for EGR testing
  • Using the MAP and RPM to determine if a problem is mechanical or fuel/ignition misfire
  • Loaded with tips and tricks for quick diagnosis
