Mark T. Kennedy from Westminster, MD, received the Automotive Technology Outstanding Student Scholarship at the 2009 North American Council of Automotive Teachers (NACAT) Conference held in July at the Central Piedmont Community College in Charlotte, NC.
Each year, Mitchell 1 recognizes one U.S. high school senior for outstanding achievement in automotive technology scholastics.
During the awards ceremony, Kennedy was presented with a check for $2,500, along with a recognition certificate
courtesy of Mitchell 1.
In May, Kennedy graduated from the automotive service technology program at Carroll County Career & Technology Center (CCCTC) in Westminster.
While at the school, he was an active member of the local SkillsUSA chapter. Kennedy plans to further his educational goals at the Community College of Baltimore County at Catonsville, MD, in the General Motors automotive technology program.
