Lincoln College of Technology Announces Grand Opening of its Collision Repair and Refinishing Technology Program

Lincoln College of Technology’s grand opening will be held from 9am-3pm on Friday, May 7th at its facility located at 8317 W. North Avenue, Melrose Park, IL.

Lincoln College of Technology has expanded their current facility to offer a Collision Repair and Refinishing Technology program.

"With the larger facility, we can now increase our career-training program offerings in Melrose Park and focus on delivering hands-on, well trained graduates who can confidently enter the workforce,” said Shaun McAlmont, President and Chief Executive Officer of Lincoln Educational Services Corporation.

Lincoln’s expanded 24,000 square foot facility offers: specific – computerized equipment, 31 down draft welding tables, and two large paint booths.

The Collision Repair and Refinishing Technology program provides training in four primary areas: collision repair, computerized estimating and measuring, custom paint and airbrush techniques and welding and fabrication. 

Lincoln instructors are I-CAR trained and integrate I-CAR curriculum in order to provide students with the most innovative technology.  Students will have the necessary training and confidence to be employed not only as body shop experts, but skilled in other repairs such as two and four-wheel alignments, frame straightening and engine repair.

During the grand opening, visitors can observe special demonstrations conducted by NAPA on: Repairing Brakes, Perfect Tune-Up, Welding and Fabrication, Painting Using Water Born Paint, Creating the Invisible Repair, and Utilizing a Paint Booth and Air-Brushing Techniques. 

An opportunity will be available to tour the facility, meet with admissions and financial aid representatives, students and faculty members.
