Penray Donates to Fund CCC Women’s Board Scholarship

The Car Care Council Women’s Board announces Penray has donated $2,500 to the scholarship fund

BETHESDA, MD – Dec. 10, 2007 – The Car Care Council Women’s Board announces Penray has donated $2,500 to the scholarship fund in order to award a second $2,500 scholarship in 2008.

“I was so impressed with the 2007 scholarship winner when I met her at the Women’s Board reception during AAPEX that I decided right then, on the spot, to fund an additional $2,500 scholarship,” said Rod McKenzie, president of Penray. “We’re honored to have the opportunity to help a deserving woman reach her educational goals and pursue a career in the automotive aftermarket.”

Headquartered in Elk Grove Village, IL, Penray sets the pace in cooling system treatments, fuel treatments, and shop chemicals that maximize performance and help extend vehicle life. Penray has been the standard of excellence in product quality and service for professionals for more than five decades.

Scholarships will be awarded to female students who are pursuing education to prepare themselves for a career in the automotive aftermarket. Scholarships are available for post-secondary students who have completed one year at an ASE certified, post-secondary automobile technology program, and for high school seniors who plan on attending an ASE certified, post-secondary automobile technology program.

The Women’s Board is comprised of professional women and men, including company executives, service shop owners, service writers, motor sports figures, association executives and consultants, who are dedicated to informing female audiences about proper vehicle maintenance and safety, while encouraging young people to investigate automotive career choices.
