Alliance Extends Commitment to Charity Cars Campaign

The program's mission is to provide a vehicle and vehicle support services to assist disadvantaged families in their transition from dependency to self-sufficiency.

SAN ANTONIO (December 20, 2007) – During the Winter Shareholder’s Meeting of Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance, Inc. (Alliance) in Boca Raton, Florida, the members of Auto Value/Bumper to Bumper unanimously agreed to extend their commitment to their Charity Cars Campaign through 2008 to reach their new donation target of 1,000 vehicles to victims escaping domestic abuse.

This one of a kind Charity Cars Campaign was announced along with the scope of the program by Auto Value/Bumper to Bumper at a press conference held during industry week 2006. The nationwide campaign’s mission is to help former victims of domestic violence gain their independence with a gift of a refurbished car.

This unprecedented vehicle gift program is sponsored by the warehouses, parts stores and certified service centers of Auto Value/Bumper to Bumper. Each group in the distribution channel plays their own pivotal role in this program. Certified service centers donate their labor; the warehouses and parts stores furnish the replacement parts. The last component of the distribution channel is a select group of vendor partners. The Alliance is currently soliciting new vendors to compliment the 15 already on board for the unparalleled donation program.

The entire group of Auto Value/Bumper to Bumper shareholders, along with hundreds of parts stores and certified service centers, has allied with The Original 1-800-Charity Cars organization (Charity Cars, Inc. a 501-C-3 non-profit charity, FED ID #59-3362703) to execute this program. By the end of 2007, almost 500 vehicles will have been awarded to qualified recipients at grand award ceremonies across North America.

“Our commitment to giving away 1,000 vehicles to needy families has never been stronger,” said Steve Marks, senior vice president of marketing/advertising. “Our expanded goal is well within reach and within the realm of becoming a reality no matter how long it takes.”
