Matthew Reinke from Mount Pleasant, MI, proudly shows off his 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix GT.
Reinke, who attends Mid Michigan Community College (MMCC) in Harrison, MI, is majoring in automotive technology.
Reinke, who graduates in the spring, said that cars have been apart of his life since as long as he can remember.
“Cars are my passion and throughout my time at MMCC, I have been using my skills to work on the Pontiac Grand Prix GT. It is now my show car and it’s fully customized,” he said.
Some of the modifications Reinke has made to the Grand Prix include a full welded exhaust with high flow converter and resonator.
The car has chrome turn signal lenses, an 8000K HID kit and Altezza chrome taillights to go along with the 17-inch Edge Dagger rims wrapped in uni-tread tires.
The car also features blue underglow lighting, tinted windows and a custom sound system with a Sony Deck that includes a 1000-watt amp and two 12-inch Pioneer 800 watt subwoofers.
Reinke also said he is a fan of Tomorrow’s Technician magazine. “My professors hand out your magazine to our class every time a new issue comes in,” he said. “I always look forward to reading your articles and always walk away with new technical knowledge.”
