A returning sponsor to the series, Yamaha is increasing their support to coincide with the arrival of their all-new pure sport YXZ1000R Side-by-Side (SxS) vehicle.

LORORS Arizona presented by Yamaha Racing features 6 weekends of short course off-road racing during the 2016 Season with 10 total rounds including the Annual Regional Shootout – this includes racers from Arizona, Southern California, Utah and Nevada amongst others – featuring approximately 12 classes of vehicles and the ever-popular and growing classes of UTVs (especially the Production 1000cc Class with the all-new Yamaha YXZ1000R). UTV classes continue to rapidly grow in popularity due to the preparation ease and affordability of “race ready” vehicles that can go directly from the showroom to the racetrack, attracting a broad range of new and veteran racers to the sport.

Tim Jones, President of the Lucas Oil Regional Off Road Series, Arizona, “Our Series has moved forward with great strides in such a short period. It is our vision to keep up with the leading motorsports companies that provide the best machines to race, and by partnering with Yamaha we are able to do just that. Our Series has quickly expanded its participation in the UTV racing classes, and in order to facilitate the continued growth, we are extremely excited to include such a reputable and innovative company as Yamaha.”

“Yamaha has a long and storied history when it comes to racing, and we’re excited to begin a new chapter through our support of LORORS Arizona and the SxS race community,” commented Steve Nessl, ATV/SxS marketing manager for Yamaha. “It should come as no surprise the only pure sport SxS in the industry would find a home in a short course racing environment, and we look forward to seeing the YXZ1000R compete.”
